It was consolidation week this week in PE. We take lots of equipment out and we choose which activities we want to practise. It's great fun and the ideas are amazing!
Years 1 and 2 created some super obstacle based games involving throwing for accuracy, skipping, running and jumping. We enjoyed using the hoops for throwing, rolling and hula and we had great fun with the frisbees, throwing and catching and having mini competitions to see who could 'frisbee' the furthest!
Year 4 created some amazing activities. We used the hoops to hula, throw through and some of us spent a long time perfecting jumping through the hoop as it was rolling! We played games of throwing and catching with the frisbees and we used the balls to see who could throw the furthest. We played sprinting races and made up games using the hurdles to practise our technique.
Year 5 and 6 produced some excellent skills stations. We had multiple obstacle courses containing hurdles, cones and skipping ropes. We used the hurdles on the track to see who could go the fastest. We used the hoops to have hula competitions and we practised throwing and catching the frisbees, extending this by using Fort Lewis as a very large net!
Well done everyone!
Have a lovely Easter break!
