Thank you for exploring our website and wanting to know more about our school!
We offer you a very warm welcome to Wybunbury Delves Church of England Primary School and Preschool.
It is a great privilege to be Head teacher at Wybunbury Delves, to lead this fantastic school and the dedicated team of staff who make our school the very special family and place it is.
We are committed to providing the best for all the children in our school family, from our youngest in Preschool to the oldest in Year 6, our children grow academically and are nurtured to develop into a well rounded individuals who have a strong sense of identity, know who they are, their strengths, what they they find difficult but they know how they can build successful relationships, how they can make a path in life and a difference. Our children are well prepared for the next steps of their learning journey and life beyond primary school.
Our children and staff are all very proud of our school and all it has to offer. We are a small school with a big heart. It is a happy place in which to learn, grow and thrive.
As a Church of England Primary school we encourage our children to experience Life in all its fullness; our school ethos and aims are based on Matthew 5: 16 'Let your light shine' and the Fruits of the Spirit provide the values which are at the heart of good choices and being a good person.
As a parent your child is the 'light of your life', the most precious thing, someone extremely special. At Wybunbury Delves we are privileged that you trust us to work in partnership to nurture and foster your child to grow, for their light to shine stronger and brighter each and every day and for that light to bring happiness to all.
We pride ourselves on our excellent relationships, the very best educational experiences, high expectations and the incredible dedicate team of staff who go the extra mile and always put each child at the heart of all they do.
A child's personal development is equally important to us as their academic. We want the very best outcomes for our children so they can flourish and achieve their full potential.
Our school offers a rich and broad curriculum that fosters creativity and provides opportunities for pupils to develop their imagination, whilst they improve their knowledge, skills and understanding in English and mathematics and all areas of the curriculum. Well-being, physical and mental and a drive to keep ourselves healthy form an important part of our week.
Our curriculum is anchored in our context, our values, the national curriculum and our drive for all our children to be the best they can be. We nurture success as a 'I can attitude' which means
Our curriculum is organised into termly topics or themes. We ensure all the curriculum areas then draw together under the theme. This allows our children to make links, share knowledge from one area to another and ultimately accumulate their knowledge.
At Wybunbury Delves we LOVE reading, books, stories and poetry are the corner stones of our practice and are the starting points for all our topic planning.
Our children produce their own books — their study work books. These bring together and showcase all their learning in a beautiful keepsake. Our children share these with pride and they show the accumulation of their learning for a topic.
We love to bring our curriculum alive, bring first hand experiences which immerse the children in their learning, allow them to make links and build strong knowledge. We enrich and enhance our provision through visits, visitors, clubs and theme days.
Our children are creative and imaginative and bring their learning alive.
Our pastoral care is exemplary. All our staff know every child, their needs and next steps. Educating a child is a team challenge so Parent partnership is key. During term time, your child will spend as much of their waking hours with us as they do with you! We recognise that the staff who teach and nurture your child each day will become a part of your family as you talk over teatime or in the car! Our school is an extension of home — a place of happiness, safety and security, a place to feel loved. We will put our partnership with you are the top of our priorities as this is key to your child settling, feeling part of our family and a sense of belonging. This comes first then your child will be able to learn and grow.
We welcome your family to join our family! Together we will help your child to shine!
We look forward to welcoming you to Wybunbury Delves.
