Homework

Supporting your child's learning at home is very important and is something that we encourage in Y1. Your children's homework will be:

• Encouraging your child to read their phonics book threetimes (Please record this in their reading records)
• Completing wider reading by reading or listening to their challenge book (Please record this in their reading records)
• A weekly activity to complete on the White Rose Math App (Please record this in their reading records)
• Optional Bingo homework.

Each child will have a challenge book this is a storybook for the children to have read to them or they can try to read it if they want. The children will be earning points for each challenge book they read which will go towards earning rewards in assembly. These are how many points each child needs for each reward:

Bronze reward- 10 points
Silver reward- 20 points
Gold reward- 30 points
Platinum reward- 40 points
Rainbow reward- 50 points
