Miss Welch teaches Year 4 and our learning is supported by Miss Holland.
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and are feeling ready and refreshed for a new term in Year 4! This term we are beginning a new adventure! We are heading further across the world to experience a different form of magic. Our book for this term is 'The Firework Maker's Daughter' written by Phillip Pullman. This book is about the adventures of a young girl who aspires to walk in her father's footsteps (but that's all the insight I'm giving you, we will have to read the book to find out more!). This book is an extraordinary adventure which I am looking forward to sharing with you all.
If you wish to find out more about what we will be learning this term, please click on the link to our Holistic Plan and Newsletter below.
This year, our PE lessons will take place on a Tuesday afternoon and you will be taught by Mrs Jenkins. Please ensure you have your kit each week consisting of a white or your house colour top, dark trousers or shorts and white or black trainers. We will also be continuing with the Daily Mile so please ensure you have trainers in school to change in to.
For Music this term an exciting opportunity has arisen. Year 4 will be participating in a brass instrument lesson provided by Music For Life. You will all be learning how to play a musical instrument for free! I think this is an amazing experience and I can't wait for you to start learning. You will all be learning how to play a brass instrument. Each of you is going to be given your own instrument at the start of the term.
Please keep up to date with what is going on in our Year 4 classroom by following our posts on Facebook and Twitter.
Let the adventure begin!
