Zoom and another week has passed in Y6

Y6 I loved seeing you all today as we joined together to play Mrs B's Magical Disney Quiz. After a music dilemma we were off. We zoomed our way through the questions and I loved watching you all use Kahoot to register your answers. Thank you for joining me and what a fab way to end our week.

We have tackled square and square roots this week in maths, and as always you have mastered them all. I am so proud of you and all the hard work you continue to do. I know how much you enjoy the teaching videos and I am pleased I can help in this way. We have covered our curriculum for Y6 now in maths, so we will move onto recapping next week. We ended our week with an arithmetic paper and wow, wow, wow! What a group of superstars I have. I know how hard you are working at improving your scores and I am impressed. Your high schools are going to be very lucky to have you.

Rainforest descriptions were our focus this week in English and you used many language devices to bring them to life. I really enjoyed the way you took me on a journey and how you weaved similes, metaphors and personification into your pieces. You definitely showed me this description, rather than just telling me. I really liked the way you have edited your pieces and how you have focused on improving the flow. Thank you Y6. You ended your week with a SpaG.com activity and a SpaG CGP task.

We continue to listen to and enjoy our story time together as you click on each day to my recordings of Wolf Brother. Goodness, how exciting this story is getting as each chapter leaves us with a cliffhanger. I think we will have enough story left for one last week and I am excited to share it with you.

This week our afternoon choices to dip into were all about rainforests and I have enjoyed looking at your artwork. I have also enjoyed some of your high school transition activities too.
