Year 5 Weekly News

Another week has flown by! This week you have been on an adventure to the rainforest.

In English, you used noun phrases, similes and metaphors to go on a sensory walk through the jungle. You then used these fabulous descriptions to write a descriptive piece; you used your words to paint the picture of an awake, humid and vibrant rainforest. Well done.

In Maths, you have been continuing with looking at units of measure. This week, our focus has been units of time. You have been converting between the different units of time, and you have been using your knowledge to have a go a reasoning problems too.

For a our rainforest learning project, some of you create fantastic pictures and got up to some exciting stuff.
