Well done for another week of home learning. I am proud of each and every one of you (and your mums...

We hope you enjoy this new collection of reimagined images and verses from Julia Donaldson and Axel...
Year 5 News
In English this week we have been writing stories. Your stories have all had a nature theme as we have been entering them into the 'Youth Nature Writing Competition'. It has been lovely to read all of them this week, so thank you for all your hard work.
In Maths, we carried on looking at place value, but this time we moved on to look at decimal numbers. We recapped our knowledge of tenths and hundredths, and we used this to sort and make numbers with decimal places.
For our afternoon activities, some of you have been busy doing the virtual keepie-uppie challenge (don't forget to share them on twitter), and because our theme for the week has been animals, many of you have been drawing your favourite animals, making animal print t-shirts and finding out about the life cycles of different animals too.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Miss P
