Year 3 Weekly News

Another week of home-learning has flown by, full of amazing work, brilliant ideas and lots of effort....

In English this week, we created amazing persuasive adverts to encourage new children to come to our school. We started with a SPaG job on paragraphs and headings – this helped us to organise our work throughout the week. On Tuesday, you then gathered a range of persuasive phrases and words, from which we created super word walls from! On Wednesday, we then planned our adverts, including TV ads, PowerPoints, letters and some children even planned their own websites! Throughout the next two days, you all worked so hard to finish your adverts and they were absolutely brilliant! Well done!

In Maths this week our focus was on mass and capacity once again. We managed to finish off our unit this week! Throughout the week we looked at measuring capacity. We used millilitres and litres as our measurements and we even got the chance to measure using measuring jugs! Your posters and the end of the week were absolutely fantastic, well done!

You also got busy throughout the week doing your projects too. This week's focus was all around the environment, I loved seeing all your uploads and work towards this, it was fantastic!

I also loved seeing your basketball relay challenges, there were some seriously impressive skills going on!
