Year 2 news

Another week of super learning Year 2! Every piece of work you send me makes me and Mrs Parker smile. We are so proud of all you are achieving at home.

In English this week our learning has focused around the rainforest. You have learnt about the different layers in the rainforest, animals of the rainforest and you have had a go at describing what you might see hear and smell in the rainforest too using pictures and videos.

We have been so lucky this week to hear stories from Logan, Ruby, Alexander, Megan and Will. I know you have enjoyed these from all your lovely messages you send when you have listened to the stories. You are fantastic story tellers and I thank you again for sharing them with us and putting big smiles on our faces.

In maths, you have worked hard learning about weight and measuring weight. You have read scales, learnt about balance scales, learnt about grams and kilograms and some of you made your own balance scales. You then weighed and estimated some items from your house too. Clementine and Alex both weighed their cats! This made me laugh lots.

We finished the week with a class video with lots of you filming a little message for the class. I hope this made you all smile!
