This week in Year 2 we have been amazing. Each and everyone of us has written our own story, and I can tell you that they are fantastic! We have had astropuppies running away from astrowolves, and fairies running away from the big, bad witch! Each one has been wonderful to read. Thank you Year 2! I am proud of you for creating such imaginative stories, and for using all of the things we have been learning in the last two weeks.
In maths, we have been looking at the addition and subtraction. We have been using known calculations to help us check our work. We have been also checking Bob's work (from our story). He needs to use some of our top tips like drawing dots and using number-lines to help him.
In our afternoons, we have been doing geography, French, Music, Science and computing. We combined our Science and Computing as we are creating a PicCollage of the everyday materials we have been learning about. In geography, we learnt a little bit more about each continent and in French we learnt how to say hello and goodbye (Year 2 don't have to learn French, but we wanted to so we gave it a go on Friday).
