So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...

Y6 you are just superstars. There are no other words to describe how I feel about you all in these...
Year 2 Are Out Of This World!
Wow! Year 2 you looked amazing on Friday! It was our theme day and the array of costumes was amazing. We had astronauts, aliens and galaxies to name but a few. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to you, and the people that helped you make your amazing costumes. You are all stars to me.
During our day, we learnt about Space Food and how you eat and drink in space. We then planned a menu for an astronaut. I'll be honest, chocolate spread was a popular option! We then had a go at creating our own shuttles, and we launched them to see how far they would fly. We also played games and enjoyed a movie in the afternoon. It was great fun. Thank you for making it brilliant.
The rest of the week was also brilliant too. For our 'Well-Being At Wybunbury' activity we created paper chains to decorate our classroom and make it feel more christmassy. It looks brilliant. We also finished our art unit this week by creating our own 'Starry Skies' in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. You have all mastered his style, and your pictures look great. We have also been busy doing some Study Work this week too.
In English this week, we were introduced to a new piece of punctuation — the comma. We learnt that Mr Comma has lots of jobs, and the one we have learnt about is how you use a comma in a list. We will continue to master this skill as the year goes on, but I am proud to say you have all made a great start. Well done.
In maths, we continued with our maths work on money. We learnt about adding notes and coins, and also learnt about how to give change.
It's been a great week. Thank you Year 2!
See you tomorrow,
Miss P
