Well done for another week of home learning. I am proud of each and every one of you (and your mums and dads!). Last week has seen you take part in French, music, RE, PE and computing as well as lots of reading, English and maths too!

The beginning of the week introduced your first home learning computing lesson. You put your coding skills to the test by completing an Hour of Code activity. You built algorithms using Minecraft characters and skins! It was great to see you get your certificates and grow in confidence in your coding ability. I loved your French counting this week, thank you for sharing videos of you doing this and sharing what you enjoyed about your music lesson too. Lots of you enjoyed following the dancing and enjoyed the 'Three Little Birds' activity too.

Our English lessons this week followed the Talk 4 Writing unit on Unicorns where you used the information about the River Unicorn to come up with your own type of unicorn, including Ice Unicorn, Rainbow Unicorn, Magical Unicorn, Healing Unicorn and many more. You thought of similes to describe it's mane and added a description to the colour of it's coat to make a compound adjectives like rusty red or fiery orange. This made your writing so exciting to read. Finally, after lots of word work and planning, you wrote about your own unicorn, thinking about appearance, habitat, special features and interesting facts. Have a read of some of them attached and see if you are as blown away as me!

You have listened to more of Gangsta Granny which I hope you are enjoying. It's lovely to see so many of you laughing along at home. I'm enjoying reading it to you lots too! Ben has finally discovered a big secret out about his boring old granny...that she is actually a gangsta! He is now keen to join in on a heist with her but she isn't so sure if it is safe for him to join her! We will read more each day.

In maths, you have watched my teaching videos to help you with your power maths lessons. This week we have been focusing on using our two times table knowledge to multiply and divide by 4 and 8. Wow. Just wow. I have been so impressed with how you have got on. We even had some tt rock stars time too. I have received some rock slams from you all too. Beware, I have been practising...but I still don't seem to be as fast as you!

In our reading lessons last week, we thought about characters in stories we love and how they might be similar to other characters. We learnt about character traits in familiar characters and also worked on our comprehension skills too. You used a dictionary as part of your English work too to develop your vocabulary. What new words did you learn this week?

Thank you for sharing other things you have been up to this week too, sharing stories with me, sharing achievements, baking or walks you have been on. It's been lovely to see you all on seesaw. Remember with every week that passes, we are one week nearer to being back safely in school altogether.
