What a fun day we have had! It was wonderful to see you all dressed up today. Your costumes were fantastic. Thank you for working so hard on them. We had cave lions, sabre-tooth tigers and of course cave boys and girls. There were lots of other costumes too!
We started the day off with a catwalk and a photoshoot to share all of our wonderful costumes with each other. We then enjoyed some time outside playing with all the wonderful props we have brought in. After that, we came inside to compete in a Stone Age quiz! This put our knowledge to the test, and I am proud to say you have remembered so much.
After our normal break time, we got a little bit messy and created Stone Age pots using clay. To do this, we needed to know how to roll a ball. Then we had to use our thumbs and fingers to make a hole and create the sides by pinching the walls. This is called a pinch pot. Finally, we decorated it using sticks. They look fantastic.
After lunch, we enjoyed watching the movie, and we separated our afternoon up by heading outside to play in Fort Lewis.
Throughout the day, we have also enjoyed lots of sweets and treats. Thank you to everybody who brought something in for us to share.
I hope you have had as much fun today as Mrs Parker and I have,
