Our week – Preschool

You have had another busy week of learning preschool.

Your learning projects this week aimed to provide opportunities for you to learn more about sports and games and you have certainly had a sporty week!

You have played skittles, created your own junk modeled football pitch, discovered what parts of your bodies you use to to run? To do a handstand? Etc. I have loved your drawings of the different actions. You had lots of fun playing ball games and you enjoyed competition time; you were challenged to see how many times you could hop, skip, jump, clap or star jump in one minute – thank you sharing these on Tapestry- you look like you had lots of fun competing with your family members.

In literacy this week you have listened to a variety of sport stories, drawn a picture to show how the characters feel in the stories, created marks using different parts of your body, practiced letter formation and even developed your listening schools by listening to the BBC school radio sports episode.

In phonics you have continued with your daily RWI phonics sessions, sang action songs and developed your rhyming skills.

To support your mathematics development you have enjoyed activities to support your understanding of positional language. I think positional language hide and seek was a favourite activity from the week!

Thank you for another great week of learning preschool, I am very much looking forward to welcoming some of our families back next week. I hope everyone is feeling ok about the changes ahead. For those children continuing their learning journey at home I am excited to see all you do via Tapestry next week.
