Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
Lent Challenge 2021
Ash Wednesday, Wednesday 17th February, marks the beginning of Lent. Lent is a period of 40 days during which we remember the events leading up to and including the death of Jesus Christ.
The 40-day period is called Lent after an old English word meaning 'lengthen'. This is because of the time of year when it happens, as this is when the days start to get longer, as we approach Summer.
It is a time of reflection and of asking for forgiveness, and when Christians prepare to celebrate Jesus's resurrection at the feast of Easter, which comes at the very end of Lent.
Attached are 2 challenges to complete this Lent — Love Yourself through Lent, a focus on self-care in these difficult times of 2021, pick one a day to give yourself a positivity boost! Or there is a Lent Quest to complete. We will upload the challenges onto SeeSaw, show us in words, pictures, videos how you get on with one or both the challenges this Lent.
