Happy Half Term from PE

Well done everyone! We've made it to the end of the first, slightly different, half term!
We've been lucky with the weather, only having a few soggy days. The children have definitely earned their 'R' in SPARK for showing lots of resilience.
We have wrapped up our Invasion games skills unit with a free choice session. We took a selection of equipment out for football, hockey, rugby, basketball and netball, along with cones and hoops. We were able to dip in to all of the areas and create our own activities.
The children love to take ownership of their own learning and I'm constantly amazed by the different ideas they have and roles they all take! There are definitely some teachers in the making!
A huge congratulations to Bella in year 6 for completing her second personal challenge book! Absolutely amazing! Congratulations also to Finlay in year 6 for finishing his booklet too! A fantastic achievement for both!
In Autumn 2, year 1 will start units on locomotion (movement skills) and yoga, whilst year 3 and year 6 will move on to a health related fitness unit and some basketball ready for the sports partnership's virtual basketball competition.
