Gardening club

In gardening club this afternoon, we carefully dug over one of the larger vegetable beds and prepared it for planting autumn sown broad beans. Once the bed was ready, we worked in pairs to stick a cane into the ground and then crossed them over at the top to make a frame. We each planted three beans next to our cane. We know they won't grow as fast as Jacks in Jack and the beanstalk, but hopefully if we take good care of them we will start to see them in Spring.
