This week has been a week of writing stories and being arty!

We have been super busy completing all of this learning as well:

  • In maths you have been continuing to work on money. You even opened up your Wybunbury Delves shop again so that you could learn how to give change. You understood that you have got to subtract the amount that the customer gave you against the amount of the item. You were very good at this!
  • In reading out loud it has been lovely for me to hear all of you read.
  • In English, you have been writing your own friendship narratives based on the story of Herman's letters. These are absolutely fantastic and I am so proud of all of your writing. We can't wait to publish these stories in our red books.
  • In RE, you have been learning about what it would be like to meet Jesus. You thought about the reactions people would have had if they met him and then what sort of person Jesus is on the inside.
  • In PE, you have been working on your throwing and dodging skills.
  • In history, you learnt about what farming looked like in the industrial revolution. You couldn't believe the difference machines had on farming and how much easier it made farming. However, we were sad that this meant there were less jobs as farmers didn't need as many workers.
  • In art, you painted your stone age farming tools ready for them to be displayed in the classroom.
  • In science, you worked hard on learning about micro habitats. You went out in the forest school to examine the different micro habitats we have in school.

Our wow moment of the week is definitely seeing you all create a floor mat for your bee bots in computing. It was lovely to see you all work so hard in your teams. You all listened to each others ideas on what theme you wanted and then what pictures you wanted to include on your floor mat. I was so impressed with all of your drawings and how hard you worked as a team.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you on Monday,

Miss Haynes
