Ofsted came to visit us on 3rd/4th February 2026.
We are delighted to share the results of our recent Ofsted inspection, It is with great pride that we celebrate a report that reflects the hard work of our children, the dedication of our staff and governors, and the vibrant community we have built together at Wybunbury Delves CofE Primary School.
We are particularly pleased as the latest Ofsted Framework means a new grading scale and a more rigorous approach to assessing school performance.
The inspection team recognised the high standards we maintain across the school, noting that "pupils of all ages benefit from a caring and welcoming environment" where they "feel valued, supported and encouraged to shine".
The report highlights several areas where the school is performing at a "Strong standard":
Attendance and Behaviour: Inspectors found that "pupils attend very well" and their "behaviour and attitudes to learning are consistently very positive". We are particularly proud that our school is described as a "very effective, calm, and orderly environment where pupils feel safe, respected, and valued".
Early Years Provision: Our youngest learners are off to a "flying start". The report notes that "from the moment children enter the school, their curiosity and engagement are evident" and they "build secure relationships with trusted adults".
Personal Development: The school's motto, 'Towards the Light', was recognised as a "commitment to kindness and service to others". Inspectors observed that pupils "develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of social responsibility".
A Safe and Supportive Environment: Safeguarding remains our highest priority, and we are pleased to confirm that "safeguarding standards are met". The report emphasises that we have established "an open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility" and as a result, "pupils are made safer and feel safe".
Our school is often described by our children as "a family where adults listen and offer support". We want to thank everyone connected with our school for being an essential part of that family. Your continued partnership ensures that our children leave Wybunbury Delves "well prepared for the next stage of their education".
Ofsted came to visit us on 3rd/4th November 2021 and we are very proud that they continued to find that we are a GOOD SCHOOL!
Ofsted said they found a "close-knit school community" where pupils "thrive" due to the care, support and the strong bonds between school and home.
