We have had another incredibly fun week of learning!
·
In English, you started to plan out your very
own story based on ‘herman’s letters’. You started to change your two
characters, give them names and use expanded noun phrases to describe them.
·
In maths, you started some new learning on
money. You worked out what each of the relative coins are, made different
combinations to equal the same amount and even opened up our very own Wybunbury
shop.
·
In RE, we read the story of the 10 lepers and
thought about how Jesus performed all of these miracles. You thought carefully
about the definition of ‘miracles’ and what miracles have happened in your
life.
·
In wellbeing you wrote about ‘If I could click
your fingers and go anywhere, I would go…’ Mrs Wainright and I loved listening
to all of your ideas.
·
In PE, you completed a lesson on dodgeball
skills and a lesson on throwing and catching.
·
In steps
to read, you read the story of ‘The secret of the tattered shoes’ and answered
comprehensions based on this fairy tale.
·
In science, you looked at habitats from around
the world and created a diorama based on one habitat with your table groups.
These look amazing!
·
In computing, you predicted where your beebot
would go. You then inputted the algorithm to see if your prediction was
correct.
Our wow moment of the week was definitely our very art
history lesson. You looked at the tools used in stone age farming in more
detail. You created these tools using clay. They look amazing and I know we
can’t wait to paint them.
Have a wonderful weekend Y2.
