What a busy week we have had in Year 6. You just don’t stop from the minute you walk through the door.
Our week has seen many subjects being covered and we have worked hard in each of them. We have been:
- developing our Maths skills by multiplying fractions by fractions and dividing fractions by whole numbers
- discovering Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection during Book Club
- recapping our learning on silent letters and assessing our spelling knowledge
- exploring On the Origin of Species in English and learning new phrases to help us understand our example text
- enjoying an energetic PE lesson with Coach Beth
- playing our glockenspiels in Music, practising rhythms to the song La Bamba and focusing on tempo
- using Scratch in Computing to continue developing and improving a game
- learning early fire-making skills during our Forest Schools session
- investigating how shadows change when objects are moved further away from a light source in Science
- thinking carefully about structures in DT and identifying the criteria needed to design a safe playground
- reflecting on different quotes in our AYLA lesson and sharing what we think they mean
- completing our Questful maps in RE by answering thoughtful and challenging questions
- enjoying time on the adventure trail with our favourite buddies
Have a wonderful weekend.
