Year 5 News 16.01.26

We have had a fantastic week of learning in Year 5. In our English lessons, we have been getting to know our new book ‘The Hound of the Baskerville’. In our Maths learning, we have focused on learning about related facts and how we can use these to support us when multiplying and dividing by multiples of 10.

We have also enjoyed our first computing lesson, another lesson in Art, Heartsmart, PE, Music and RE this week.

We have two special moments to share this week, both which took place on Friday. Firstly, we welcomed the Crewe fire service into school to share some very important messages about staying safe in the home. We enjoyed seeing the fire engine and all of the equipment they need as well as getting a chance to use one of the hoses. After this, we had our Year 5 class worship. The class chose to base our worship on some of our recent RE learning. We enjoyed sharing the things we think are important that we have learnt in our lives so far. We spoke about how Jesus is seen by many as a great teacher and shared one of his parables. We reminded people to be wise and think before making decisions. We also enjoyed sharing a new song.
