Year 4 Weekly News 06.02.2026

We have had another lovely week together.

One of our highlights took place on Friday when we created our slingshot cars. To make them, we built axles using wheels, dowels and paper straws. We then designed the chassis using pegs and masking tape, before adding an elastic band to create the slingshot element of our toy car. It took resilience and teamwork to put them together, but it was great fun, and it very impressive to see how far they travelled!

In Maths, we have been learning about the distributive law this week, as well as exploring factors and products. In English, we have continued writing our stories. We are nearly at the end now (ust paragraph five to go)!

Across the week, we have also been busy taking part in our Interfaith Week activities during RE. In addition, we have enjoyed lessons in PE, Music, History, Wellbeing, French and HeartSmart.
