Our first full week has gone by so quickly. You have worked incredibly hard in lots of different areas of you learning. You have:
- In your courageous advocacy you were set a task to try and get some play dough to float in water. You found this extremely tricky but worked really hard to try and find different ways to mold the dough to make it float. We found out that through this task we persevered.
- You have been learning about column subtraction all week and how to use that written method to solve word problems.
- You have been building up on the fluency of your reading in phonics.
- You learnt all about Stone Age farming and what farming looked like when it first began.
- You completed more learning about algorithms and bee bots. You were giving the bee bots algorithms to take it to different places on the mat.
- You focused on different types of throws in PE
- In RE, you worked hard on understanding friendships and who Jesus’ friends were. You then thought about how Jesus welcomed everyone into the Kingdom of God. You created lovely paintings of Jesus welcoming the children.
- In heartsmart, you focused on your first lesson of being introduced to selfie isn’t healthy
- You have been continuing to focus on handwriting and forming your letters correctly on the line.
Our wow moment of this week was finding a letter off a bear called Herman telling us that his friend has gone away and that he is really lonely. You created some amazing letters back to Herman. Each day, we got a different clue/ letter from Herman and we read a little more about our story or ‘Herman’s letter’. We have loved reading this book and completing different types of writing each day.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Miss Haynes
