World Bee Day Part 2 20.05.22

Wow, what an absolutely buzzing afternoon we have had. We had very special visitors, Nina and her mummy who came to tell us all about their bees.

We explored the tools required to open a bee hive, shared pictures to show the life cycle of a bee, explored the trays from inside their bee hive, looked at bees, created a playdough bee, painted a stone to look like a bee, tasted honey from a jar and fresh from the tray, read stories, tried on a bee suit, danced the waggle dance and talked about how we can do our part in saving the bees.

Thank you so much to Nina and her mummy for bringing our learning this week to life.

Thank you also for our cake and sticker to go home with and for our seeds to scatter outside or in your garden to grow bee friendly flowers.

Now it is time to rest my busy bees, happy weekend and I will see you for a royal celebration next week
