Preschool news 8.12.23

This week in preschool we have been having a very busy time with some top secret Christmas crafts. We have also been doing lots of singing, practicing for our Christmas Nativity video.

On Monday we introduced the school's behaviour rules and we talked about how we follow these in preschool. We show we are ready for learning by sitting quietly on the carpet space, we are respectful to our teachers and each other by using our manners and sharing our resources, we show we are responsible by looking after preschool toys and by tidying away, and we stay safe in preschool by walking inside and being careful with our resources.

We have had several games of Christmas bingo! the children are really good at using their listening ears and spotting which pictures they have.
We have also used our good listening skills to spot which environmental sounds we could hear in a Christmas listening game. Then on Friday we tried to bring some calm back to preschool with a session of Christmas yoga!

The children have made some beautiful outdoor decorations to hang on our trees and have been busy making a large cardboard Christmas tree for us to decorate next week.

We have listened to many Christmas stories this week including our new favourite 'Stick Man'. If the children have any favourites at home they wish to bring in to share over the next few weeks we would love to read them!

We will be filming the rest of our Nativity video over the course of next week, as well as engaging in lots more Christmas crafts and games!
