This week in preschool we have been using our 'good looking eyes'. We went on a walk around the school grounds to see what we could see, the children spotted, trees, flowers, a church tower and a tractor. We have also taken a close look at our own eyes using a mirror to look at them, we then coloured in pictures of our eyes.
We have had a very 'colourful' week, we have read the stories of 'Brown bear Brown bear' 'The Colour Monster' and 'Wow said the owl'. We have played colour bingo, matching the colour and marking our cards, and we have talked about our favourite colours.
In Heartsmart this week we read the story 'Hippo is Happy' and talked about the things that make us happy, we then talked about how 'Boris' the robot feels and used playdough to create different emotions for his face. Boris says "Being Heartsmart means filling our hearts with love"
The children have also been continuing to make Boris out of recycled boxes.
Our Bible Reference is 'Let your hope keep you joyful'
Our rhyme of the week has been 'Heads shoulders knees and toes' and we have had fun doing the actions to this while missing out some of the words.
The children have continued to enjoy playing in the outdoor area, turning our builders yard into a garage for the big cars.
Next week will begin colour mixing, finding out what happens when we mix different colours together. We will also be learning about our 'good listening ears'.
