This week in preschool we have begun to look one of our focus stories 'We're going on a Bear Hunt'. The children have listened to the story and have acted it out with toys in the small world area.
Our rhyme of the week this week is 'Tommy thumb', the children have tried really hard to show the correct fingers while singing along. To compliment this we have been exercising our fingers every day in dough gym and making pictures using our hands in paint.
We have introduced circle times this week with the children meeting 'Fred' and introducing themselves to him. We have also played a musical game 'Ready Steady Stop'.
This week we have started our HeartSmart learning. The children listened to the story of 'Boris the Robot' We talked about how Boris chose to listen to the people who loved him and how Boris says "Let love fill your hearts". Our Bible Reference this week is 'God has poured out his love into our hearts.' Romans 5:5.
We have had lots of fun outside everyday in both the sunshine and the rain, with the children particularly enjoying making lots of soapy bubbles with the sweeping brushes and putting on shows for each other with the musical instruments.
Nest week we are continuing with our Bear Hunt activities, looking at prepositions and learning the rhyme 'The bear went over the mountain'
