What a busy and brilliant week we've had in preschool! As the sunshine heated up, we found cool spots to play, share stories, and enjoy all our favourite activities as we get ready to say a big "well done" for a whole year of growing and learning.
Storytime Adventures
We loved reading Simon Sock, a tale about being yourself and making friends--even if you're different! We sorted socks, cut and stuck colourful pairs, and talked about how special it is to be unique. We also read The Family Book and It's OK to Be Different by Todd Parr, which helped us celebrate all the lovely ways people and families can be different.
Outdoor Fun
We played with balls, bats, and shuttlecocks--just like the tennis players at Wimbledon! We moved our bodies, had lots of laughs, and tried something new with our friends. We also tried to keep cool in the shade, building, chalking and paddling in cold water to cool our feet!
Creative Crafts
There was more cutting and sticking with under-the-sea pictures, full of sea creatures, waves, and sparkles! We used our imagination and worked hard on our creations.
Little Scientists
We explored flowers from the garden up close using magnifiers. We spotted petals, patterns, and tiny details--it was fascinating to see how clever nature is!
Songs and Stories
To finish the year, we've been reading our most-loved books and singing favourite rhymes. It's made our days feel extra cosy and fun!
Looking Back
Everyone made a final self-portrait to go in their special books that will go home next week. We looked at how much we've grown and how clever and kind we've become.
Looking Ahead
Next week will be full of celebration and smiles as we enjoy our best-loved activities and cheer for all the wonderful things we've learned this year. We're so proud of every single child!
