A Very Merry Christmas Y6 – 20.12.24

As our Autumn Term comes to an end, I would like to thank you for your full support in all that we have done and achieved. Our class have worked extremely hard throughout this term and we have embraced the challenges that have come our way. Well done Year 6. You are stars.

We have completed our Measures unit in Maths with an end of unit check and our newspaper reports in English. We have opened all windows on our Advent Reading Calendar and enjoyed each extract from each book.

We have completed our playground structures in DT and have now placed them onto our landscaped floorplans. We will share these with you after Christmas. 

We have also completed our RE unit by answering the question – How do Christians Prepare for Christmas? 

We have planned our webpages in Computing and researched renewable energies in Geography. 

We enjoyed PE with Coach Gabriel. 

Whilst we finished our term off this week with different lessons, we have also managed to fit in some different Christmas activities too. Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the pantomime and our Christmas party saw us all playing our favourite party games. We have given and received Christmas cards and finished our day today with part of a film which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I will not be setting any new homework for the Christmas period. The only homework I would like my children to complete is to:

• Enjoy your family time together

• Enjoy family lazy days

• Share a game with friends

• Enjoy your favourite Christmas film

• Most of all take good care of yourselves, recharge your batteries and have a very merry Christmas.

Thank you for all your kind words and gifts I feel very spoilt. All that is left for me to say is Merry Christmas and I hope you all stay safe and enjoy your family time.
