Year 4 PGL 2023

Teamwork, adventure, communication, resilience, perseverance, determination, love – we showed it all and so much more!

We have had the most amazing couple of days on our Y4 PGL adventure.

We have paddle boarded, climbed, zip lined, problem solved, sang, played, shot rifles, built buggies and swung in the trees. We have had so many fantastic achievements.

When we arrived, we went straight to our cabins. We unpacked and went straight to our first activity – paddle boarding. After getting our wetsuits, jackets and buoyancy aids, we made our way onto the water. On our paddle boards, we played games, and stood up to paddle. We played body bingo and head, shoulders, knees and jump. We also played some wet games in the lake afterwards. On our first evening, we played cluedo. We had to work out which animal had stolen the cake. We loved this!

On our second day, we woke up and had breakfast. Then, did some problem solving activities in the woods and went on a huge zip line. After lunch, we then did buggy building and climbing. All of these activities required us to communicate, work in teams, show resilience and support each other – we did amazingly! On our second evening, we enjoyed an evening around the campfire. We sang many fantastic songs and enjoyed toasted marshmallows.

On our final day, we learnt how to shoot rifles and went on the giant swing. Everyone set their own goals and made fantastic achievements.

Throughout our experience, we worked so well as a team. We, as teachers, are so proud of each and everyone of you. We had an amazing time and loved every minute!
