This week we've been rainforest researchers, magnificent mathematicians and top topic task workers!
In English this week we started by creating amazing acrostic poems for our home learner helpers. It's been amazing to see just how well the children have done during this tricky time, we wanted to thank all the parents and adults who have helped us alone the way do far! We then switched our focus to writing rainforest descriptions. Throughout the week, we completed simile work, created beautiful expanded noun phrases and made sure to think about the senses when describing our journeys through the Amazon. This all helped us when, on Friday, everybody wrote amazing rainforest descriptions – I loved reading them!
Recap was the name of the game in Maths this week. We checked back on some prior learning and answered lots of different questions tgro7hout the week. We looked at column addition and subtraction, as well as adding money and dividing numbers too! On Friday, we once again completed an arthimetic paper in which we used our column method skills! Well done!
Throughout the week, our project focus was all about rainforests. The children created amazing animal fact files and I was super impressed with all of the animal drawings too!
Everybody has once again worked incredibly hard all week, well done Year 3!
Have a fantastic weekend,
