Year 3 Weekly News

Another fantastic week of home learning has flown by. We've been busy once again with our writing, maths challenges and topic work...

In English this week, we focused on instructional writing. We worked hard throughout the week to recap key features including imperative verbs and chronological order. On Thursday, we created amazing posters to use as checklists. This helped us on Friday when we created brilliant intersectional leaflets all about different sports and games. We had cricket, football, tag, rugby and lots more! Take a look at some of them!

In Maths this week, we continued with our work on fractions. We looked at equivalent fractions once more and are really getting to grips with it. We had optional challenges and starters to complete, as well as completing work on comparing and ordering fractions. On Friday, everybody had another go at an arthimetic paper, it was great to see everybody using all of their methods! Well done!

This weeks topic work was all around sport. There were so many brilliant examples of work, everybody has worked so hard throughout the week. Well done!
