And here it is...our last week of home learning is complete! I cannot wait to have our class back together on Monday! You have worked incredibly hard, you haven't given up when you found things tricky and you we have kept in touch with daily videos, voice notes, photos, emojis and comments which have made me smile every day! I want to say a huge well done to you all for every piece of work, every video and every time you completed your home learning. Well done to Year 3!

This week saw us celebrating World Book Day in style! You looked at books you can buy with your vouchers, you drew pictures of your favourite scene from a book, you made your story jars and you made masks too for the Masked Reader. It was great to see all of the fun you had this week to celebrate World Book Day 2021!

In maths this week we have enjoyed some TTRock Stars time and also started our unit on length, recapping some of the misconceptions linked to measurement. I am already looking forward to continuing on with this when we come back to school next week.

In English this week, it was all about our lockdown cookbook! You looked at the features of instructions and recipes, you recapped bossy verbs and you then made your own creation to go in your recipe book. These looks fantastic! We had muffins, spaghetti bolognese, cakes and chocolate sponge! You then wrote out your recipe for this too and we are going to write them up into neat next week at school. This will all be going into our next fundraising project, in the form of a Wybunbury Delves lockdown recipe book.

You also completed a geography lesson focusing on England this time as part of the UK, especially about our capital city of London. Which capital city would you prefer to live in and why? In PE you looked like you had lots of fun in sitting down volleyball and in science, you completed your last lesson on magnetism.

We also finished Gangsta Granny and Mrs Swan read 4 chapters of Crumbling Castle by Terry Pratchett.

I hope you have a well deserved rest this weekend ready for our Monday together. Parents, I will be sending an email this weekend to include the newsletter and holistic plan for this term.
