Year 2 news
Well done Year 2 for another fantastic week of home learning. This week your learning was focused around 'the world'. You wrote about how you could look after our world and how to make it a better place. You made your own posters about how to reduce plastic pollution which were really impressive. I have saved them to form a display when we go back to school in our new classroom. You finished the week by working out who my clues were about and then wrote your own clues for me about famous people. They were fantastic!
In maths you worked hard on the position and direction unit using maths words such as forwards, backwards, left and right. It was great to see you following the instructions and you even set some for me! You finished the week with a place value quiz and you even set me some clues to work out your numbers. They were very clear and you showed your excellent place value knowledge!
We finished the week with a story read my Ruby called The Long Way Home. Thank you for being our superstar reader of the week!
It was fantastic to hear Clementine has joined the Summer Reading Challenge at the library! Has anyone else joined in with the challenge yet?
Have a lovely weekend, let's hope for some lovely sunshine!
