This has been our second week of home learning, and you continue to impress us with how amazing you have all been. You have all been working so hard. Mrs Parker and I are so proud of you (and we're very impressed too).
In English this week, we were introduced to a new story ... the Elves and the Shoemaker. We have been listening to or reading the story and using it to help us answer questions. We even had a go at designing some outfits for the elves too.
In Maths, we have started a new topic. . . multiplication! To start off with we have learnt about equal and unequal groups. We have learnt how to make them and then how to add them together too.
We have done some extra subjects this week too. In Science this week we have been learning about seeds and some of us have been busy planting them too. In History, we have been looking at music through the decades. We enjoyed listening to the Beatles and the other songs as well. We had a bit of a boogie in school. Did you? We also did Music were we listened to different pieces and discussed what we liked about them. In Computing, we completed our 'hour of code' which was linked to Mine Craft. You even got a certificate when you had finished (which we loved seeing). Finally, we finished the week off with some well-being by creating our own Jars of Happiness. It has been so lovely seeing them all!
Finally, Mrs Parker and I would like to say a huge thank you for all the lovely cards, presents and words of thanks we received at Christmas. We felt very privileged.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
Miss P and Mrs Parker
