Hello and welcome back to a new PE year!
It's lovely to see you all back in school and my word, haven't you all grown!

Things are a little different still this term. I will only be teaching years 1, 3 and 6 due to the restrictions on crossing classes during a day. Years 2, 4 and 5 will have PE taught by their class teachers.

This week our learning has involved skills, skills and more skills!
Year 6 focussed on dribbling with their feet and being light and fast with their side to side movements to improve their dodging skills.
Year 3 concentrated on their dodging and speed skills by playing tag rugby tag and then practised throwing sideways with rugby balls.
Year 1 were improving their balance by going through hoops and walking tightropes with a cone on their heads. They also practised their throwing and catching skills.

PE will be outside this term so it's important that all children come in full PE kit for lessons, this includes a waterproof coat.

All classes have used our fantastic new daily mile track and most have started logging their laps to convert into miles. The children are super excited to start reaching destinations. Did you know that after 1,584 laps you will reach London? However it will take 51, 876 laps to reach Tokyo for the Olympics!

Have a lovely weekend!
