So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Happy Half Term Year 5
We've done a whole half term of home learning. I can't quite believe it! You've worked so hard and done so much. You are superstars, and you have made me a very proud teacher.
This week we have been continuing with our topic of decimals in maths. We have been learning how to sequence decimals and how to find the next number/missing number in a sequence. You all showed resilience and perseverance this week. I am very impressed!
In English, our work focused around your favourite book. You drew a story map, redesigned the front cover, created a new title and then wrote a persuasive piece to explain why it's your favourite book! You did a very good job; my reading list has increased significantly as a result.
The afternoon activities were all about food this week. It's been lovely to see you planning your menus and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Finally, I want to say a huge thank for all the beautiful messages you sent me on Teachers' Day. I'm very lucky to have you all as my class.
I hope you have a fabulous half term. As it's half term, they'll be no home learning, so enjoy having fun and being able to play. I will be back on your screen on June 1st.
Keep yourselves safe, and I miss you all lots,
Miss P
