Preschool News 9/9/22

Welcome back to preschool, it has been lovely to meet you all and we have had a really fun week.

This week in preschool we have been beginning to settle in to our preschool rhythms and routines.

We have enjoyed lots of free play activities exploring our setting and we have spent lots of time re-establishing old friendships and starting to make new ones.

We have have been enjoying sharing lots of stories from our favourite book basket, with Shark in the Park by Nick Sharrett becoming a firm favourite.

It would be lovely if the children would like to bring in one of their favourite story books for us to share at preschool story time.

We have also been taking part in rhyme times with the children joining in with our rhymes of the week, Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes and 3 Little Ducks.

The children have been learning to Dance and Freeze and have been strengthening their fingers in our Dough Gym sessions.

The children have also started to explore our topic Wonderful Me by drawing self-portraits.

Next week we will be comparing quantities, exploring prepositions through our story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and continuing to develop our preschool routines.
