Preschool News 25.11.22

This week in preschool we have continued our transport theme by looking at things that travel in and over the water. 
We have read the story of 'The Journey' by Neil Griffiths and Scott Mann and sung Row Row Row your boat for our rhyme of the week.

In one of our carpet time sessions we experimented to see which nursery objects floated or sank, with the children carrying on this learning independently in their play.

We also worked together to match up the unpaired gloves, looking at the colours and patterns of each one to make matching pairs.

In our circle time this week we talked about thanksgiving and discussed the things that we have to be thankful for.

In the preschool garden we took the opportunity of a sunny spell to plant some Narcissi bulbs ready for the spring.The children have also continued to enjoy scooting around the preschool/reception path.

We have been practicing making our name jigsaws and have been starting to practice to write our names.

Next week we will be looking at things which travel in the air and starting preparations for Christmas.
