Preschool news 17.11.23

We started this week in preschool by learning a little about the celebration of Diwali, we read the story of Rama and Sita and the children made their own lanterns for the festival of lights.

As part of Anti Bullying week we have been learning about kind hands this week in preschool. We have read the book 'Hands Don't Hurt' and we all added our hand print to our kind hands pledge.

On Tuesday we celebrated Odd Sock Day, the children have painted pictures of odd socks, helped Helen sort out her washed socks into pairs and listened to the story of Simon Sock.

Throughout the week we have continued with out transport theme, this week we have been learning about travelling by train. Our story of the week has been 'Train Ride' and the childrne have enjoyed playing with the trains and track in preschool.

We have also been learning all about the number 2, how it is represented and how it is made up of two lots of one.

We used our good listening ears on Thursday in a fun game, we have to identify the form of transport just using our ears!

On Friday we learnt about 'Children in need' we painted pictures of Pudsey and talked about how kind it is to help others.

We have been enjoying oral story time this week, each day the children have joined in to make up their very own story. We have been blown away by their fantastic ideas for story characters.

Next week we will be looking at travelling by water and singing 'Row row row your boat' and learning all about the number 3.
