We have now moved onto learning our times table facts in Maths. We worked carefully to apply our known facts of the x3 table to help us answer x 6 time table facts. We then answered the same facts within inverse divide statements. This has helped to build our family fact knowledge. We have also completed our arithmetic and reasoning assessments this week. You all showed your skills amazingly well.
In English, we have shone in the way we have completed our end of term reading quiz. We used our skills to retrieve, interpret and explain using the stimulus of a story and two non fiction pieces. We are proud of the way you persevered and checked your answers.
Our Science lesson was all about identifying, constructing and labelling components within a circuit. We learnt that a circuit needs to be in a circle and we were introduced to the word cell to describe one battery. We became very excited to test, problem solve and light bulbs within our circuits.
This week, we created a series of loops to repeat steps within our Computing lesson. We remembered lots of information from our unplugged lesson which really helped us to improve our coding skills. It was great to see the team work involved when we came across an example of coding that we were not sure how to complete.
During our afternoons this week, we have also completed our RE assessment focusing on creating haikus and Kennings about Good News at Christmas time. Completing our studywork and also measuring and beginning to cut our wood for DT.
We have also celebrated the way you are recording your reading in your reading log books. Please check to see if you need to add any house points in the jars.
We have been on our Year 4 visit this week. Please take a look at our other post for more information and photos.
Please login to SPaG.com for this week's homework.
Just a reminder that it is our KS2 Christmas service at Church on Tuesday. We would love you to join us.
