It's summer Y1! 20.7.23

Year One, you have been amazing! I am not sure where the year has gone to. I remember you walking nervously through the KS1 door in September and today I saw you leaving with your heads held high. 

This week we have spent time finishing our study work books off and any last pieces of learning. We then made time for lots of fun, games and time outside with each other. 

As we have drawn to the end of the year, we have reflected back on all of our amazing learning that we have completed. The progress that you have all made is impeccable. You are leaving Year One as writers, readers and mathematicians. Your hard work and dedication to your learning has always gone above and beyond, which has always made feel very proud. You have filled my days with so much laughter and happiness. You have definitely kept me smiling all year round. You are all so polite, hard working and just beautiful to be around.

I just want to say how proud I am to be your teacher again next year. I feel very lucky that Mrs Chesters has allowed me to be the Year Two teacher and that I can keep you all for another year. 

A huge thank you to everyone for the messages, gifts and cards for the Y1 team. We are all very lucky and grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness. 

All that is left for me to say is....have an absolutely fantastic summer. I will see you all back in September in our new Y2 classroom.
