What an absolutely fabulous week it has been!
From celebrating Earth Day to engaging in exciting learning adventures, we've experienced a whirlwind of exploration and discovery. Let's take a moment to share the highlights of our week together:

Earth Day Celebration: On Monday, we celebrated Earth Day by reflecting on the impact of plastic pollution on our oceans and wildlife. As part of our courageous advocacy project, we brainstormed actions we can take to make a positive difference. The story of "Who Swallowed Stanley" opened our eyes to the harmful effects of plastic in our oceans, inspiring us to take action for a cleaner, healthier planet.

Physical Development: Our adventures on the adventure trail and Fort Lewis have been exhilarating! Through perseverance and determination, we've conquered challenges and developed our strength, mastering equipment that once seemed daunting. With Coach James, we've honed our teamwork skills through fun team games and races, preparing for the excitement of sports day just around the corner.

Mathematical Development: This week, we explored subtraction, focusing on counting backwards using the "first, then, and now" structure. While it may have presented some challenges, we're committed to consolidating our knowledge and mastering this essential skill next week.

Literacy Development: Our literary journey continued with the tale of "The Extraordinary Gardener." From receiving a mysterious seed to following instructions from the main character Joe, we've embarked on an enchanting adventure to plant different seeds to change our surroundings into one of colour and beauty. Each day, we've practiced our sentence accuracy, crafting quality independent sentences with capital letters, finger spaces, and full stops.

Expressive Arts and Design: We've embraced the spirit of Earth Day by learning the "Plant a Little Seed" song and singing "One World," fostering appreciation for our planet and its wonders.

Understanding the World: With sunflower seeds generously donated by Wybunbury Parish Council, we've planted the seeds with the hope of planting them in the village once they have started to grow. Understanding their needs for soil, water, and sunshine, we eagerly anticipate watching them bloom and flourish, symbolizing our commitment to nurturing the world around us.

Our Questful RE journey continues with the story of Esther, teaching us about faith, courage, and the power of speaking the truth.

Personal, Social, and Emotional Development: In our well-being sessions, we've explored our needs for happiness, safety, health, and learning, fostering a deeper understanding of ourselves and our aspirations for the future.

Reception Class, your enthusiasm, curiosity, and kindness make each day a joyous adventure. As we bid farewell to another week of learning and growth, let's carry the lessons we've learned and the memories we've made into the days ahead.

Wishing you all a restful weekend filled with laughter, love, and relaxation.
