What a super sixth week we've had!
We all love our end of half term choice sessions! They are a lovely way to wrap up each unit of study and allow us to consolidate the skills we have learned throughout.
As it is a choice session, we get to lead our own learning. We take out a wide variety of equipment linked to the unit we have studied. This half term was Invasion games skills, so we had a variety of balls; footballs, netballs, basketballs, rugby balls, tennis balls and both large and small sponge balls. We also took out hoops, ropes, hockey sticks and cones.
We created a wide variety of activities and games. We had throwing skills that involved accuracy and distance, throwing and catching, kingball and dodgeball. We created obstacle courses to test out cardio fitness, fast feet and movement. We played football, basketball, netball, hockey and tag rugby and we had skills stations that combined several sports into one. We even had a variation of table air hockey, to test of reflexes!
As always, we were highly creative, focussed and worked fantastically whether part of a team, small group or individually!
Another great week. Well done everyone!
Have a lovely restful week off.
