Welcome back to a new half term in PE!
We have started our new units of Tri-Golf and Ultimate Frisbee.
Years 1 & 2 were able to continue with our Tri-Golf unit. We introduced the chipper club and discussed how the angled head could help us chip the ball into the air. We set up four stations, two using putters and two using chippers. We used a cone tunnel to putt the ball further but still keeping our accuracy, and cones to putt at and try to hit. We had a river of cones to chip the ball over and we used the lines on the car park to chip the ball in a straight line.
Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 were curtailed by the weather and moved into the hall to complete a Health Related Fitness lesson. After a warm up, we set up stations for circuit training and discussed each exercise with a focus on correct form. We worked our way around all of the exercises, doing each one for one minute. We had a little break for a drink and a rest before doing it all over again! We finished off by thinking about which parts of our bodies the different exercises worked and finally, how exercise makes us feel.
