This week in Maths, we have been learning about Common Factors, Prime Numbers, Square Numbers and cube numbers. This meant there was new vocabulary to learn and new ideas to process. During our lessons, we learnt that there are often patterns to be found within numbers which we used to help us solve maths investigations.
In English, you finally got to write your very own suspense stories! There was such an array of characters and monsters! Each story has been so interesting to read, and I am very proud of how hard you worked to included all the techniques and features we have learnt about writing suspense stories over the past few weeks. Well done everyone, I really think this is some of the best writing you have ever done.
This week, our afternoons began with history by learning about the daily lives of the Ancient Greeks. You worked hard to use secondary sources to gather information. You were great detectives and gained lots of new knowledge. Well done! On Thursday, we continued with our D.T unit. You practiced your blanket stitch and recapped your Year 3 learning to create a print block. You then used this print block to create a pattern on a piece of fabric (you'll be using this skill next week to create your own cushion's design). On Friday, we continued with our R.E. topic of incarnation where you investigated the different titles that Jesus is given during Christmas time.
Hope you're having a great weekend and I'll see you tomorrow,
Miss P
