Last week in our English lessons, we put the finishing touches to our Nat Fantastic stories and wrote them up onto a superhero for our study work books. We used the outline of the story we learnt from Nat Fantastic and came up with our own superheroes and our own adventures. We can't wait to show you them this week!
In maths, we continued with addition and subtraction, focusing mainly on fluency when answering calculations and showing how we can represent these calculations in different ways, using bar models and part whole models.
In RE we have been learning about the Christmas story and thinking about why Christians think of Jesus as a king. We learnt about the role of the three kings and what important decisions they had to make after they met King Herod.
In our art lessons, we finished our Roy Lichtenstein art inspired pieces which have also formed one of our study work pages. We are so impressed with these. We created our piece of art following the style of a Roy Lichtenstein, using only primary colours and painting in stripes and dots.
Our finishing touches have now been added to our masks and they are forming part of our front covers for study work. We have also independent worked on our running stitches on a piece of binka and thread.
A very productive week. Bring on this week!
