During this week's home learning, we all took a step back and thought about the past. We also worked incredibly hard in our Maths lessons to try and understand the world of measuring mass!

To start the week, we completed a there, they're and their SPaG job. We were fantastic at understanding these homophones and how they are used for different things! Well done!

In Maths this week, we started a brand new unit on mass and capacity. This week's focus was all around measuring mass. We used scales (both traditional and digital) to measure mass. You worked so hard to figure out different scales including kg and grams, well done!

Throughout most of the week, Y3 were super busy researching the history of WW2 and in particular VE Day. It was amazing to see your research questions and how you used books, the internet and even family members to help you gather up all the information you could. You then used this information to present your findings out about VE Day is so many clever and creative ways. We had posters, PowerPoints and family interviews! It was wonderful to see your brilliant work and it put a huge smile on my face.

Check out all the pictures and Harry's video here – https://app.seesaw.me/pages/shared_item?item_id=item.21676e52-8b31-4f8c-800b-edcf5c937119&share_token=0u93NsECQWqMurryLGd2Cw&mode=share

You also worked on Thursday to create amazing VE Day preparations. We had bunting, yummy cakes that made me hungry, invites and some children even sang in preparation. On Friday, lots of you hosted amazing VE Day tea parties.

Y3 – you are working amazingly hard and I'm incredibly proud to be your teacher, keep it going!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mr Dale
