This week we have had a delivery of 31 trees donated from the Woodland Trust. Pupils from our Reception class are taking part in a native tree planting event over the next few weeks. They have begun to plant 31 Rowan, Cherry and Silver birch trees.
We hope the trees will quickly become established and our Reception children can watch their trees grow as they move through school. In worship this week we reflected on the importance of trees and how we can make a difference to protect them.
This event forms part of a project where we as a school can earn points towards a Woodland Trust green tree award and has been backed by the BBC Countryfile campaign Plant Britain.
